Individual Stealth-Technology – made in Germany
When submarines come to the surface, they enter a particularly dangerous situation. The masts, mastheads, and other components on and above the sail become visible above the water and can therefore also be detected by radar systems.
As a suitable response to this challenge, COMPOSYST developed its own materials more than a decade ago that enable submarines to remain largely invisible even above the waterline when combined with appropriate stealth or RAM technology (Radar Absorbing Material).
COMPOSYST offers two implementation options:

COMPOSYST offers two implementation options:
- Cladding of internal steel mast structures to prevent detection by radar systems
- Complete development and construction of entire mast systems made of fiber-reinforced composites (FRP), which, in addition to being invisible to radar systems, also reduce weight and thus lower the center of gravity. This saves on material and manufacturing costs while improving the ship's stability.
